Healthcare & Biotech Brand Identity Design
Brand Identity / Naming / Packaging / Websites / Digital ExperiencesI’m Lan Ho, an independent brand identity designer based in Tokyo. I help healthcare, biotech and life science companies turn complex science into brands that people understand and trust.
Science-led companies face a specific challenge. Their technology is often hard to explain, and their audience is wide: investors, partners, clinicians and, more and more, everyday consumers. A strong brand makes the science feel clear, credible and human, without oversimplifying it.

Selected healthcare & biotech work
LUMI SENSE — Preventive health technology
A preventive medical technology brand powered by AI-driven health data. The goal was a system that feels clear, trustworthy and innovative, making proactive healthcare more accessible in everyday life.
Scope: naming, brand identity, digital, packaging, signage, print
Rongjia Bio — Precision medicine
A company working on small-molecule, large-molecule and cellular analysis for precision medicine. When it launched a line of functional products for consumers in 2024, the work covered the new line’s naming, brand positioning, packaging and marketing strategy.

MiNT BiO — Synthetic biology
A synthetic biotechnology company spanning R&D, production and application. Synthetic biology is built from chassis, components and modules, so the identity returns to visual fundamentals: points, lines and planes, combined into a flexible system that keeps evolving.

How I work
1. Understand the science. I start by learning how the technology works and who needs to trust it: investors, partners, clinicians or consumers.2. Find the position. Naming, messaging and a clear point of view on where the brand stands.
3. Build the system. Identity, typography, color and graphic language designed to scale from a pitch deck to packaging and product.
4. Launch and support. Guidelines, website and rollout assets, with ongoing collaboration where it helps.
