PinchNote Privacy PolicyLast updated: November 4, 2026

PinchNote is a voice-note app for Apple Watch and iPhone, made by Lan Ho. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.

The short version• Your recordings and transcripts stay on your devices.
• PinchNote has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
• I don't collect, sell or share any of your personal information.

RecordingsRecordings are saved on your Apple Watch and iPhone. Recordings made on your watch are sent directly to your iPhone through Apple's Watch Connectivity. They are never uploaded to a server run by me or anyone else.

PinchNote asks for microphone access only to record the notes you start.

TranscriptsPinchNote turns recordings into text with Apple's speech recognition. When your iPhone supports it, transcription runs entirely on the device. If on-device recognition isn't available for a language, the audio may be sent to Apple to be transcribed, under Apple's privacy policy (apple.com/legal/privacy). Transcripts are stored only on your iPhone.

To-dosPinchNote finds to-dos in your transcripts on your iPhone, using keyword matching or Apple's on-device language model. This information never leaves your device.

PurchasesPinchNote Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; I never see your name, Apple Account or payment details. The app only checks with the App Store whether Pro is active on your account.

Deleting your dataDelete a recording in the app to remove it and its transcript. Deleting PinchNote from your iPhone and Apple Watch removes everything it stored.

ChildrenPinchNote doesn't knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

ChangesIf this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
